The Nashville Blooming Festival is a beloved annual tradition, held every Mother’s Day weekend in downtown Nashville, North Carolina. Since its start in 1997, the festival has grown into one of the community’s premier celebrations of music, family, and fun.

The event is organized each year by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, bringing neighbors, visitors, and businesses together in the heart of downtown.

 Annual Halloween Street Event

Hosted by the Town of Nashville & the Nashville Chamber of Commerce

Join us each year for a spooktacular celebration in Downtown Nashville!

When: 

Every year on the Friday before Halloween

The streets come alive with costumes, candy, and community fun as we kick off the Halloween weekend with a family-friendly street festival.

What to Expect:

  • Trick-or-treating with local businesses

  • Costume contests for kids, adults, and even pets

  • Music, food trucks, games, and more

  • A safe and festive atmosphere for all ages

The Halloween Street Event is a long-standing tradition jointly hosted by the Town of Nashville and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. This beloved event brings together local families, businesses, and organizations to celebrate the season in true Nashville style.

Christmas Celebration and Bicycle Parade

The Town of Nashville, NC, holds an annual Christmas Children's & Bike Parade hosted by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Nashville Parks and Recreation. The event, which is the first Saturday in December, invites children 12 and under to decorate their bikes, wagons, scooters, or strollers to parade down Washington Street for the tree lighting ceremony. Prizes are awarded for the most creative entries, and Santa is present to hear children's wishes.

What:

Nashville's Christmas Celebration and Children's Bike Parade.

When:

Typically the first Saturday in December. Who: Children 12 and under are encouraged to participate by decorating their bikes, wagons, scooters, or themselves.

Where:

The parade travels down Washington Street. Key Activities Parade Participation: Children decorate their chosen vehicle or themselves and join the parade.

Tree Lighting:

The parade concludes at the town's Christmas tree, which is then lit.

Santa Visit:

Santa Claus attends the event to meet children and listen to their holiday wishes.

Creative Entry Awards:

Prizes are given for the most spirited entries.

New Year's Eve Egg Drop

The Town of Nashville, NC, is home to the annual New Year's Eve Egg Drop celebration hosted by Braswell Family Farms at The Nashville Junction. The event features a large, 8-foot egg that drops from a crane at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display. The celebration also includes live music, food and drink vendors, and family-friendly activities like face painting and outdoor games.

What it is:

A family-friendly New Year's Eve event where a large, 8-foot egg is dropped. It is inspired by other North Carolina traditions like the Raleigh Acorn Drop and the Mount Olive Pickle Drop.

When it happens:

On New Year's Eve, December 31st. The event runs from approximately 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where it happens:

The Nashville Junction, located at 723 S. Barnes St. in Nashville, NC.

What to expect:

The Egg Drop: An 8-foot egg is lowered from a crane at 7 p.m.

Fireworks:

A fireworks show follows the egg drop.

Live Entertainment:

Music from local bands.

Food & Drinks:

Various food and beverage trucks.

Family Fun:

Activities such as face painting, outdoor games, bounce houses, and photo opportunities.
