Urban Forestry Program

Tree City USA

Tree City USA is a program created by the Arbor Day Foundation. This program recognizes municipalities across the country for their commitment to responsible tree care. Nashville has received Tree City recognition every year since 2019 by meeting four overarching standards which include maintaining a tree board, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrating Arbor Day. More information about the Tree City USA program can be found at the Tree City USA website.
