Summer Fencing Camp

Discover the excitement of fencing in a fun, welcoming environment! This beginner-friendly 1 week class introduces the basics of footwork, blade skills, and safety while building confidence, coordination, and focus. Throughout the program, students will be introduced to basic footwork, bladework, and defensive techniques, while developing coordination, balance, focus, and strategic thinking. Classes emphasize proper form, sportsmanship, and safety. By the end of the course, participants will be able to fence simple bouts and understand the rules and structure of the sport. Program Highlights: Beginner-friendly instruction with no experience required Introduction to fencing basics: footwork, attacks, defenses, and rules Emphasis on safety, respect, and sportsmanship Skill development through drills, games, and supervised fencing Opportunity to experience fencing bouts by the end of the course This program is ideal for anyone interested in trying fencing for the first time, building athletic skills, or exploring a unique and dynamic sport. Ages 11-17 years. Equipment is provided.

 

$55 residents, $75 nonresidents
