**Public Notice **    The public is hereby notified of a Special Called Meeting of the Nashville Town Council on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 7:00 PM in Town Council Chambers.  This meeting will be held for the purpose of:  Consideration of participation in the Downtown Strong Initiative; Closed Session for personnel and for real estate.  The public is invited to attend.

**Public Notice**     The Town Council of the Town of Nashville will  hold a   Public Hearing  on  Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:00 pm in Town Council Chambers at which  time the council will hear public comments on   the application from the  Nashville Chamber of Commerce   for the 23rd Annual Nashville Blooming Festival from May 8-11, 2019,  on the application from the Sudan's Shriner's for a Ceremonial Parade  on May 18, 2019, and on  the application from the Church on the Rise for a Color Run 5k  on October 12, 2019.

 

Bulk Pickup & White Goods

Bulk Pickup applies to items that are too large for the green roll-out carts such as furniture, grills, mattresses, etc., and will be picked up on Fridays. If you have a large item that needs to be picked up, please notify Town Hall by Thursdays at noon. A work order will be completed and the item(s) will be picked up on Fridays.

"White goods" are appliances which include the following: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water coolers, air handlers, water fountains, drink boxes, walk-in coolers, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers, trash compactors, window or other fans, furnaces, fluorescent light fixtures with ballasts, water heaters, and microwaves.   The Town disposes of the items at Rocky Mount Recyclers and there is a charge for this. The charge for items containing Freon is $60.00 per item. The charge for items not containing Freon is $15.00 per item. Payment must be made by Thursdays at noon for Town personnel to pick up the item(s) on Fridays.
