Parks & Facilities
The Town of Nashville is home to numerous recreation park and facilities. These include sites operate by both the public and private sector that together offer many of the amenities you may be seeking for various recreational opportunities. Whether you seek active or passive recreation, the Nashville area offers fun for all ages. The planning, design, and maintenance of existing and future parks is head up by Town staff. However, we are greatful to have the support of many other community partners and volunteers. J.W. Glover Memorial Park
J.W. Glover Memorial Park & Recreation Complex is located just off of South First Street/NC Highway 58 South (at 1434 South First Street), immediately adjacent to Nash Central Middle School.
The following facilities are offered:
Baseball Field #1; Lighted
Baseball/Softball Field #2, Lighted
Baseball Field #3
Baseball Field #4
Grill & Passive Area
The field house is located in the center of the park & recreation complex. It houses public restrooms and concession facilities for those uilitizing and enjoying the above facilities. It also houses staff offices and a panoramic view for the baseball and/or softball fields.
The Nashville Parks & Recreation Department presently only has one facility, but will be adding more in the future. Stay tune for more details to follow.
Nashville Elementary School Gymnasium
The Nashville Parks & Recreation Department utilizes the Nashville Elementary School Gymnasium for its basketball league, camps, clinics, and various other activities through its partnership with the Nash-Rocky Mount School System. The gymnasium is located on the school campus at the corner of East Green Street and Joyner Street.
Nashville Community Building
The Interclub Civic Council operates the Nashville Community Building. If interested in renting the facility, please contact 813-8772 between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. The facility seats approximately 75 to 100 people based on seating arrangements.
O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation Building
The Nashville Chapter of the Nash Central Senior High Alumni Association/O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation operates the O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation Building. If interested in renting the facility, please contact 459-3791 between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. The facility seats approximately 100 people based on seating arrangements.
