Have a Safe Holiday Season

The Nashville Police Department would like to extend an invitation to all of Nashville's citizens. Upon request, the Nashville Police Department provides a service called a "House Check" for any Nashville resident. If you are planning on being out of town on vacation, away from home for several days, or any other situation in which a residence will be left unoccupied, residents may contact the Nashville Police Department and be placed on a security check list. While a residence is on this list, officers will make a special effort to check the security of this location. The only thing required from the home owner is to call the Police Department and notify us when you are leaving, when you will return, your emergency contact information, and other required security questions. The Nashville Police Department provides this service free of charge at any time during the year.

Please be aware that Law Enforcement agencies all over the state increase their vigilance to enforce traffic laws during the Holiday Season due to the numerous lives lost each year in motor vehicle accidents.  Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination, beware of weather related road conditions, and drive defensively.

 Happy and Safe Holidays
