Census Center is seeking local qualified applicants to fill Partnership Specialist positions.

The Census Bureau Charlotte Region is seeking local applicants for positions as partnership Specialists for the 2010 Census, the federal government's 23rd national headcount required by the U.S. Constitution. Partnership Specialists will develop partnerships with local, state and tribal govrnments, as well as community and faith-based entities, educational institutions, businesses, mecia outlets and grassroots organizations. These partnerships will help create a responsive environment when census questionnairs go to households in spring 2010. For some Partnership Specialist positions, the Census Bureau seeks applicants who hve professional and/or volunteer experience developing partnership in African American, Hispanic/Latino, Mexican, native American, Asian and other minority communities and cultures. Specific cultrual and/or language requirments (e.g., proficiency in Spanish) are noted in the Recruiting Bulletins (Job announcements). An Applicant must submit a comlete application packet containing the following: 1. A resume or completed Application for Federal Employment (OF612) reflecting his/her professional and/or volunteer experience that is RELEVANT to the postion and grade level(s) for which the applicant is applying (grades 7,9,11 and/or 12). Answers to the 3-5 evaluation criteria questions shown on the Recruiting Bulletin. These evaluation criteria questions must be answered on a separate piece of paper and must be included with the application. Applicants who do not submit answers to these questions will not be considered for the position. An applicant may rquest consideratin for more that one grade level for a position.
