PUBLIC NOTICE - A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 pm in Town Council Chambers to receive public comments on the Street and Special Events Permit Application for the Children's Christmas Parade sponsored by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. The permit is requested for Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm and will impact traffic on W. Washington Street from Barnes Street to Alston Street.
PUBLIC NOTICE - ELECTRONIC AUCTION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
At the August 7, 2018 Regular Town Council Meeting, the Town of Nashville Town Council declared certain personal property surplus and authorized for disposal by electronic auction. From October 1, 2018 – October 12, 2018, surplus vehicles, equipment, and supplies will be sold via GovDeals, an online auction service provider, at www.govdeals.com.
Registration is required in order to bid and items are sold “as is, where is.” The acceptable methods of payment are cash, money order, and cashier’s check. The Town Council is comprised of the Mayor and four Council Members that represent the Town at large. Each is elected to a four year term that are staggered with a rotation of the Mayor and two Council Members in one cycle and two Council Members on the other cycle.
Nash County Board of Elections
All elections are conducted by the Nash County Board of Elections. The polling location for the Town of Nashville is located at 1006 Eastern Avenue in the Nash County Agricultural Center. You must be a registered voter in Nashville to vote for Nashville Town Council elections.
The next election for the Town of Nashville will be held on November 5, 2019.
