The Public is hereby notified of a Special Called Meeting  of the Nashville Town Council on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 5:30 PM in the Town Council Chambers, 114 W. Church Street, Nashville, NC.   This meeting will be held for the purpose of the Consideration of Resolution 2019-18:  Resolution supporting the application to the Environmental Enhancement Grant Program for the Town of Nashville.  The Public is invited to attend.

The Town provides the following services

  • Household garbage pick-up.  Check the "Routes" tab to see which day to roll out your trashcan!  Check with Town Hall at 459-4511  or your utility bill for changes in schedule due to holidays.
  • Recycling pickup. Check the "Routes" tab for more info.
  • Bulk pickup is considered items that are too large for household garbage or are not  recycling.  Please request a work order by calling 459-4511 for bulk pickup.  Construction items cannot be picked up using this service.

Aluminum (Cans, Foil, Pie Pans – no food residue)
Books (Text, Hard or Soft Cover)
Cardboard (Broken down and flattened)
Cartons (Juice, Milk, Soup Cartons)
Chipboard & SBS Board (Cereal, Snack, Shoe Boxes)
Glass Bottles & Jars
Paper (Mail, Magazines, Newspaper, Phone Books, Office Paper)
Plastic (Bottles & Containers #1, #2, #3, #5)

 

What Cannot Be Recycled 

No  Motor Oil Containers

No  Vegetable Oil Containers

No  Hazardous or Flammable Liquid Containers
