Following the recent retirement of Public Works Director, Larry Williams, the Town of Nashville has consolidated the  Public Works Department and Public Utilities Department into one unified Public Works Department.

This combined department is now led by Jamey Baines as Public Works Director. Previously, Baines served the Town of Nashville as the Public Utilities Director. As the Public Utilities Director, Baines was responsible for the administration and operation of the Town of Nashville water and sewer system.  Director Baines will now add management of Public Buildings, Central Maintenance, Streets, Sanitation, Powell Bill, Stormwater,  and Forest Hills Cemetery to his prior responsibilities.

The consolidation has also led to the promotion of Ronnie Denton to the position of Assistant Public Works Director. As the Assistant Public Works Director, Denton will assist Director Baines in the day-to-day operations of the Public Works Department. An additional Assistant Public Works Director position has also been created and has not been filled.
