PUBLIC NOTICE - A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 pm in Town Council Chambers to receive public comments on the Street and Special Events Permit Application for the Children's Christmas Parade sponsored by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.  The permit is requested for Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm and will impact traffic on W. Washington Street from Barnes Street to Alston Street.

PUBLIC NOTICE - ELECTRONIC AUCTION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
At the August 7, 2018 Regular Town Council Meeting, the Town of Nashville Town Council declared certain personal property surplus and authorized for disposal by electronic auction.  From October 1, 2018 – October 12, 2018, surplus vehicles, equipment, and supplies will be sold via GovDeals, an online auction service provider, at www.govdeals.com. Registration is required in order to bid and items are sold “as is, where is.” The acceptable methods of payment are cash, money order, and cashier’s check. The Town of Nashville provides water and sewer utilities to all properties within the town limits and in certain sections of the Extra  Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).  The Town of Nashville purchases a majority of our water from the City of Rocky Mount and produces  some of our daily needs utilizing  five wells maintained by the Public Utilities Department. 

The Tar River Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility treats the Town of Nashville's sewage and is located in the City of Rocky Mount.  The Public Utilities Department manages 14 sewer lift stations in conjunction with the sewer mains, outfall lines, and sewer laterals within town.
