image002At the Town Hall you may establish your water/sewer account. You may also obtain a privilege license in order to operate a business. You will be able to pay town property taxes here and you can purchase a burial plot in our well-kept Forest Hills Cemetery. All disbursements are made to our vendors on behalf of all departments of the town from our Finance Department.

All persons wishing to locate a business within the city limits of Nashville must make application to obtain a privilege license prior to establishing the business. All Privilege Licenses expire on June 30, and must be renewed annually.

Property Tax Information:

Tax Rate=$0.56 per $100 of property value as assessed by Nash County. Tax bills are mailed in late July. A 1% discount is allowed until September 1. Unpaid taxes become delinquent after January 5.

Town of Nashville’s policy on payment of invoices:

For purchases over $100, a purchase order is required. Unless otherwise stated, all orders are purchased FOB-Nashville, NC and freight should not be charged. The same is also true with shipping and handling charges. We do pay N.C. Sales and Use Tax on eligible purchases. Our Federal ID number is 56-6001300. We pay invoices twice per month for those invoices billed during the prior month.
