The department offers numerous recreational opportunities throughout the year including day camps and family fitness nights. The goal of these programs is to provide entertainment and activities while promoting learning and healthy lifestyles.
Summer Day Camps
Camps run Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each camp participant receives a camp t-shirt, snacks, lunch, and all camp materials. Registration for each camp is limited to the first 20 paid registrants. Click HERE to download a registration form for summer day camps. Forms can be completed and then returned WITH payment to Town Hall Monday-Friday 8-5:00 PM.
Registration Fee: $45 (Residents) $75 (Non-Residents)
This camp is for young people interested in the world around them and outdoor activities. The camp will include exploration into topics such as wildlife, forestry, water, weather and fossils. The camp is held at Stoney Creek Environmental Park. It is asked that each child wears a sturdy pair of shoes and lightweight long pants each day and brings sunscreen and bug spray. There are two weeks of camp available this summer August 13th-15th for ages 5-8 and August 20th-22nd for ages 9-11.
Registration begins March 30th, 2018 and ends when the camps fills or July 30th, 2018
This camp is for youth interested in sports and outdoor activities. This camp experience will include soccer, kickball, dodge-ball, water play, disc golf and team building activities. It is asked that each child wears a sturdy pair of athletic shoes and brings bug spray and sunscreen each day. There are two weeks of camp available this summer July 9th-11th for ages 5-8 and July 16th-18th for ages 9-11.

Family Fitness Fun Series
In cooperation with local businesses and the Nashville Elementary School PTA the department is offering the Free Family Fitness Fun Series. This program is geared for people of ALL ages and abilities to come out and move together towards a healthier lifestyle, self and community. We would like to thank Key Fitness of Nashville, Nashville Martial Arts Academy, Yoga by Kabryn, and Zumba with Dr. Tevis Harris and his HYPE crew for their participation in this program. This program is offered every Thursday from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Nashville Elementary School Gym during the months of February and March.
Town of Nashville League Night at the Mudcats Opening Night
Join us for a night of family fun at Five County Stadium in Zebulon for the opening night of the Mudcats against the Winston-Salem Dash on April 5 @ 7:00 PM. This is a fundraiser for our league. Tickets are $7.00 for box seating and can be bought at the concession stand at Glover Park through Tuesday, April 3rd. The more tickets we sell the more benefits we receive. Their will be beverage specials and as always kids get to run the bases after the game. So come on out and enjoy a baseball game with your friends and neighbors.
