The park rests upon the banks of Stoney Creek as it meanders through Nashville.  Designed to operate as a passive park offering citizens the opportunity to enjoy and interact with nature  in  an urban setting, it also hosts several other facilities.

Facilities that are present at Stoney Creek Environmental Park include a tennis court, exercise equipment, swings, an age 1-3 playground, a climbing sphere, picnic shelter and amphitheater.

If you wish to experience more natural settings, there is a primitive trail that will lead you to Stoney Creek and a greenway that takes you through a wetland area over several board walks along  the creek.

Parking is located in two locations.  The first is adjacent to the playground on the site west of Washington Street, while the second is located at the nature trail head at the end  of Elm Street behind the Nash County Courthouse.

If you would like to reserve the field at Stoney Creek Environmental Park for a function please contact the park office at 252-459-9796.
