Senior Customer Service Representative

 The Town of Nashville is seeking an individual to fill the position of Senior Customer Service Representative.  This position performs responsible billing and paraprofessional accounting work in support of the utilities billing, collections, customer accounts, financial records, cemetery administration, and customer service functions.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

Establishes new customer accounts; insures proper initial readings are entered; establishes, updates, and deletes accounts for multiple temporary development needs; monitors the billing cycle and assures that all records are submitted on a timely basis in order that established deadlines will be met.  Performs or coordinates radio meter reading uploading and downloading of meter readings devices and other aspects of the meter reading function; reviews and/or enters utilities readings, generates billing information, performs edits, and mails bills to customers; prints, bursts, and prepare bills for mailing.  Performs sale of cemetery lots; shows lots to customer; prepares and records deeds; collects payments; issues burial permits; maintains a variety of records and reports.

Applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with coworkers, public officials, and customers; ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.

Applicant must have graduated from high school, supplemented by courses in business or accounting, and considerable experience in a billing operation involving multiple steps tasks and use of billing software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Standard Hiring Salary Range:  $28,914-$30,360

Salary Range $28,914 – $43,371
